Submission Guidelines

Thank you for considering Cypress and Sage Press. If you have a manuscript that tells a meaningful story — whether it entertains, teaches, or uplifts — we want to hear from you.

What to send

Please email the following to submissions@cypressandsagepress.com:

• The first two chapters of your manuscript (pasted into the body of the email or attached as a Word or PDF document)

• A brief author bio highlighting your background and any relevant writing experience

• A one-page synopsis of your book

• A short description of your target audience (who will benefit most from reading your work)

If you have questions only

Not ready to submit? No problem. You may use the same email address — submissions@cypressandsagepress.com — to ask questions about your project before sending anything formal. We are happy to help you determine whether your manuscript might be a good fit.

What we publish

We publish across adult and young adult genres, including poetry, prose, memoir, and narrative fiction. We also publish select children's books under Layla Bean Kids and spiritual works under Inner Sun Publishing. If your story resonates, we will help you find the right home within our family of imprints.

We review every submission personally. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for an initial response. If we see potential, we will reach out to discuss next steps.
